Penticton local Tavis Weir is an indie folk jazz musician and composer based in the Okanagan Valley. His songs are heavily inspired by nature and the Canadian landscape.
Tavis is an instructor at the Penticton Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (located in the heritage Leir House) & his performances have been described as authentic, honest & cleverly unscripted. Tavis’ original music features effortless vocal melodies held up by an intricate web of finger-picking guitar or the rhythms of clawhammer banjo.
Tavis offers this free concert as part of the Penticton Arts Council’s Arts Matter Online program. Tavis sends out thank yous to the Penticton Arts Council, the Province of British Columbia, Canada Helps, Gore Mutual and generous community donors.
